Coffee – A Brief History

It is believed that the Yemen in the first Coffee Bean beverage 15th Century were: Others say it was the Turks. It is also believed that the machine was nothing more than a pot. Today, the Turks say that the first Coffee Maker was a copper or brass Ibrik. The Ibrik was something in the bottom half lap and then had a straight body the rest of the way up. It was a long fairly wide lip on the top and a metal band in the form of a large C connected to handle the pot. When it was put Roasted Coffee "berry" was the rough ground in the bottom of this Coffee Machine was. Hot Water was then poured over the beans in the ground and then cooked for several hours. If Arabs traveled through the desert, which was in the hot Ibrik Sand basket and brewed the heat from the hot sand to the mix. Various spices such as cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and anise were often taken up the brew.
